Dear Friends

Eid Mubarak!!! The Ramadan is over. We pray that all our prayers are answered, and that we maintain the spirit of sacrifice, brotherliness and reduction of all our excesses into the future.

Eid coincided with Independence Day, what a way to mark it….five whole work free days. Hope it means the rest meant we are reinvigorated to work even harder now. Hope you all made better use of the holidays than I did. I just lazed around. Well deserved though, as I had a gruelling week before!

The really good news s the opening of the Third Mainland Bridge. For anyone that has had to cross the bridge in the last few weeks, you must know what I mean. I’m happy for the maintenance though, which is the first and only maintenance exercise (at least the public is aware of) of the bridge. Actually the Governor is really doing a good job with infrastructure generally, and we are thankful for that. There is still so much that needs doing, but at least he’s started!!!
